Chequers Fest is back!
Eversley’s only festival of food, drink and music is back again this summer! We’re hosting this fantastic weekend when Chequers Fest returns to the pub on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd August.
It’s the third year we’ve run the festival and this one promises to be the best yet. There’ll be local and artisan food and drink from across Hampshire and a little further afield, great live entertainment and hands-on demos and tastings for foodies of all ages.
Once again we’ll have an amazing local produce market outside the pub from 12 noon to 4pm on the Saturday. Here you can stock up on tasty local cheeses, chutneys, cakes and charcuterie and much, much more. Try before you buy and take home some fabulous local fare.
Afterwards why not take part in one of the brilliant workshops we’ve got lined up. Have you ever tried making sausages for instance? There’s definitely a knack to it but you can get it at this hands-on session. You can also do cheese tastings and sample delicious seafood.
Little foodies can disappear into the wonderful world of The Chequers Fairy Cake Factory and get their fingers really sticky as they come up with their own unique creations. Watch their imagination run wild with hundreds and thousands, chocolate sprinkles and magic sparkles!
Local real ales and ciders from across Hampshire and beyond will be under one roof on the Sunday with great craft and micro brewers packing into The Chequers beer tent. Drop in and sample some fine brews from small and award-winning independent brewers like Hogs Back, Andwells and the West Berkshire Brewery.
Chef Ray will be firing up the BBQ on both days, serving steaks, home-made burgers and sausages – maybe even some you helped make! – and there will be plenty of live music throughout the weekend, too.
We’ll have our very own Eversley Brothers on the Saturday as well as Champagne at the Blitz. Tony Bowen, James Dean & Band, Kenny and the Eversley Brothers who will all be playing on the Sunday. Have a beer or two while the sun goes down – you’re in for a great time!
It’s an entire weekend devoted to great local food and drink, and great local music so put the date in your diary now and don’t miss it! You can even be really organised and get your tickets now for the whole weekend at £10 each. You can book here. Under 12’s get in free.
The festival is on from 12 noon to 4pm on Saturday 22nd August and from 12 noon to 8pm on Sunday 23rd August. See you there!
